Alternative Spring Break
The Access to Justice Commission partners with the University of Baltimore and University of Maryland Law Schools to provide law students with volunteer opportunities with local civil legal aid organizations during their Spring Break.
Alternative Spring Break is a great way for law students to:
-
get involved with local civil legal aid organizations to help address the legal needs of vulnerable Marylanders;
-
enhance their skillset by working with practicing lawyers and interacting with clients; and
-
make a positive impact on their local community.
Unfortunately, the 2020 Alternative Spring Break Program had to cancelled because of COVID-19. We will look for more opportunities to engage students in pro-bono opportunities when they return to school in the fall.
