If you have questions about your civil legal problem or the recent court closures or need legal help, there are many civil legal aid organizations that can still assist you remotely. Civil legal aid organizations offer free or low-cost legal services to those who qualify and can help with the following:

Self-help centers offer FREE legal help in civil cases for ANY individuals who do not have a lawyer. They can answer questions, give brief advice on your case and also refer you to a civil legal aid organization if you need more help.

Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, 443.451.4091, Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm. Callers outside of those times may leave a message, and calls will be returned.
The Low Income Taxpayer Clinic at MVLS is offering a free Tax Hotline for any taxpayer who has a question about their Economic Impact Payment (aka the “Tax Stimulus Check”), filing a 2019 tax return in order to obtain the EIP, or about income taxes in general.
