Know Your Rights
Free Legal Education for Maryland Seniors
The Maryland Access to Justice Commission (A2JC) mobilizes directly impacted communities by transforming legal education into collective empowerment. Through the “Know Your Rights” workshop series, older adults, many facing uncertainty due to changes in programs like Medicaid and SNAP, gain the tools and confidence to advocate for themselves and others. A2JC’s model goes beyond information-sharing: it builds networks of informed community members who understand how to navigate systems, assert their rights, and support their peers.
This initiative is generously supported by the Baltimore Community Foundation.
